Gonja Lutheran Hospital has risen from death. It was reregistered in 1998 and has officially 67 bed places but only 40 can be run at the moment. The hospital is waiting for its district designated hospital status which would help it a lot. The hospital's infrastructure is difficult to keep in a good condition.
