Ilula health centre is a church owned health facility operated by the ELCT - Iringa diocese, Due to its location the centre is of the great importance for the services it provides. Over 90,000 population of the two divisions of Mazombe and Mahenge served by this health centre.

Location; The centre is situated in Isele/Itunda village, Ilula ward with the total population over 25,000 of whom depend much from this centre for health services. Due to its location ( along the TZ - Zambia highway) Ilula village is accessible to different people who immigrate for business purposes as the major economical activity within the area. Regular immigration of people to Ilula village has resulted to spread of pandemic diseases as HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases like TB.

The health center has 70 beds. It has 1 doctor, 5 clinical officers and 12 nurses and midwifes and the total number of staff is 39. It is supervising 8 dispensaries.

In TZ - Zambia highway the rate of accidents is very high, therefore despite of the health services provided by the centre to the population in the area ,also our centre take care of those accidents.
