World Health Organization has produced clinical guidelines for paediatric hospital care in developing countries. This first took the form of the manual: Management of the Child with Serious Infection or Severe Malnutrition, and in 2005 WHO published the Pocketbook of Hospital Care for Children
Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses is a method WHO is advocating and Tanzania was one of the pilot countries. This online package gives good idea how it should be practiced.

Dr. med. Carsten Krüger, M.D., Paediatrician and Neonatologist, was working at Haydom Lutheran Hospital for 3 years, and during that time he wrote the booklet Treatment Guidelines for Common Paediatric and Neonatal Diseases. (Size 1Mb) The guidelines were written as a quick reference to look at during daily routine, with only those drugs which are available in ELCT hospitals. More extensive information should be looked for in bigger textbooks.
