Bumbuli is a fairly remote area, surrounded by hills reaching up to 1500 meters above sea level. It is almost midway between Arusha and Dar es Salam, and several good busses pass every day up to Mombo. From there you take daladala and climb 38km beautiful serpentine road to Bumbuli town. The roads are generally passable throughout the year but with difficulties in the months of February to May, when there are heavy rains.

The hospital welcomes all guest to stay in its old style German guesthouse.
