Itete Lutheran Hospital is owned by Konde Diocese. It provides a wide variety services such as surgery, gynecology, obstetrics and internal medicine. The hospital catchment area 42,991 people. The hospital has OPD ,operating theatre and the following wards: male ward 32 beds, pediatric ward 29 beds, maternity 19 beds, female ward 34 beds and two isolation wards for tb and diarrhoeal diseases. In addition malnourished children have their own room Total number of beds is 120. Government bed grant and staff grant are based on 66 beds.

There are 6 dispensaries,1 health center and 4 mobile clinics that are served from Itete. Hospital has 1 doctor, 4 clinical officers, 28 nurses and total number of staff is 80 .
