Itete hospital is located in South Tanzania. Daily busses and train go to Mbeya the regional capital. From there busses are going to Tukuyu, 86km good tarmac road and then 42km on a rough road to Itete. Area is fertile and quite warm most of the year. Hospital has accommodation for guests with meals.

Contacting hospital may take some time. The fastest way is to use cellular phone, but it is functioning only in some spots and Dr in Charge and Matron check daily if there are sms and can make appointments for phonecalls. Radio e-mail has not been very reliable.
